CHAPTER 01

A Vision That Started Young

My name is Deepak Agarwal, founder of SAI Overseas, and my journey began in Kathmandu, Nepal.

I come from a small country, but from a very young age, I carried a vision that was much bigger than the boundaries around me.

At just 16 years of age, I started looking beyond Nepal. I became curious about overseas markets, international businesses, products, manufacturers and the people behind them. I wanted to understand how a product made thousands of kilometres away could eventually reach another country, another business and another customer.

At that time, I did not know exactly where that curiosity would take me. I simply knew that I wanted to explore. I wanted to learn. I wanted to see what existed beyond the familiar.

And that curiosity became the beginning of a journey that has now continued for more than 15 years in international trading, sourcing, manufacturing and overseas markets.

CHAPTER 02

I Never Called It Struggle

The early years brought many unfamiliar situations — new markets, new countries, new people, new cultures, new business practices, decisions that worked and decisions that taught me something different.

There were moments when the road was uncertain, and there were times when the next step was not obvious.

But there is one word I have never liked using to describe those years:

“Struggle is a negative word for me.For me, it is experience.”
Deepak Agarwal

Every challenge gives us perspective. Every mistake gives us knowledge. Every relationship gives us understanding. Every journey changes the way we see the world.

Nothing is wasted when you learn from it.

I don't look at the past and see difficulties. I see experiences that built the person, the entrepreneur and the vision that I carry today.

CHAPTER 03

From Experience to Vision

Over the years, my journey took me deeper into international markets and, particularly, into the manufacturing and sourcing ecosystem of Asia.

China and Hong Kong became important parts of that journey. I began understanding not only products, but the much larger world behind them — manufacturers, factories, production capabilities, quality control, packaging, documentation, logistics, shipping, procurement and, most importantly, relationships.

I learned that international trade is not simply about finding a product and selling it. There is a complete ecosystem behind every successful delivery: the right manufacturer, specification, quality, price, communication, documentation, logistics — and above everything else, trust.

That understanding gradually shaped the philosophy of SAI Overseas.

SAI Overseas — Built on Experience

Today, SAI Overseas brings together more than 15 years of experience across international trading, sourcing and manufacturing, with strong operational connections in China and Hong Kong and a growing network across Southeast Asia and international markets.

Our work has evolved beyond traditional trading. We work across product sourcing, manufacturing coordination, international procurement, trading, quality coordination, export documentation, logistics and supply-chain support, helping businesses find and procure products from reliable manufacturing partners.

We also have particular experience in manufacturing air fryers and home appliances, alongside a broader range of consumer, corporate and commercial products.

But our goal has never been simply to become another trading company. Our ambition is much bigger.

We want to build SAI Overseas into a trusted global bridge between Asia's manufacturing capabilities and businesses around the world.

CHAPTER 05

A Small Country. A Bigger Vision.

I have always believed that where you come from should never determine how far you can think.

I come from Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal is a beautiful country with a relatively small economy and a comparatively small place in the global trading landscape. But I never believed that a small country should mean a small ambition.

A person can come from a small country and still carry a global vision.

That belief has been one of the driving forces behind my journey. I started looking outside Nepal when I was 16. Today, I continue to look beyond borders — because opportunities have become increasingly interconnected.

Our ambition is to become better connected with the world every year.

CHAPTER 06

Behind the Vision Is a Team

A founder can have a vision. But a vision cannot become a business without people.

SAI Overseas is built by a team.

Our teams and partners across China and Hong Kong work continuously to support our clients and our operations.

Behind every product inquiry is research. Behind every quotation is communication. Behind every supplier is evaluation. Behind every order is coordination. Behind every shipment is planning. And behind every successful delivery is a group of people who have worked together to make it happen.

Our team works closely with manufacturers and suppliers to understand our clients' requirements, identify suitable products, negotiate and coordinate with factories, monitor production and quality, manage documentation and support the movement of goods across borders.

We believe that the client should not have to worry about every small detail happening thousands of kilometres away. That is where our experience and our team make a difference.

CHAPTER 07

We Don't Just Want to Find a Supplier

One of the most important lessons I have learned over the years is that the cheapest supplier is not always the right supplier.

The right supplier is the one who understands the requirement, maintains consistency, communicates properly and can grow with the client's business.

Sometimes, the right solution is not the product a client originally asked for. That is why our approach begins with understanding: What does the client actually need? What market are they serving? What quality level is appropriate? What quantity are they looking for? What is the right manufacturing solution? How can the supply chain be made more efficient?

Once we understand those things, we look for the solution. That may mean sourcing an existing product, finding a different manufacturer, customizing a product, developing a new specification, or helping the client discover an opportunity they had not considered before.

We don't want to simply sell a product. We want to create a solution.

CHAPTER 08

Growing One Relationship at a Time

Our international network is growing steadily. From our strong base in China and Hong Kong, we are developing relationships across Southeast Asia and other international markets, while continuously exploring new opportunities and partnerships.

Our ambition is not to expand simply for the sake of having more countries on a map. We want to build meaningful networks — networks where manufacturers know they can rely on us, clients know they can communicate with us, and partners know that relationships matter.

Sustainable international business is not built overnight. It is built relationship by relationship. Shipment by shipment. Client by client. Experience by experience.

CHAPTER 09

Our Team Works for the Same Purpose

I am proud of the people who work behind SAI Overseas. Our team may work in different locations and across different functions, but the purpose remains the same: To serve our clients better.

There are people coordinating with factories, checking specifications, communicating with suppliers, following production, managing documentation, coordinating logistics, responding to clients and constantly looking for better opportunities.

The work may not always be visible to our clients. But it is happening every day.

And that is what I believe makes a company strong. Not just its website. Not just its office. Not just its products. Its people.

CHAPTER 10

Looking Ahead

I don't believe the journey is finished. In fact, I believe we are still at the beginning of something much larger.

The global manufacturing and sourcing landscape is changing rapidly. Technology is changing how businesses discover products. Artificial intelligence is changing how companies operate. Supply chains are becoming more interconnected. Markets are becoming more global. And businesses are looking for partners who can help them navigate this increasingly complex environment.

Our ambition is to continue investing in our people, technology, manufacturing relationships, sourcing capabilities and international network so that SAI Overseas can serve clients at a much larger scale.

We want to gradually build a company that can stand confidently alongside established international sourcing and trading organizations — while retaining something that we consider extremely valuable: a personal relationship with our clients.

The Future We Are Building

My vision for SAI Overseas is not simply to create a larger company. It is to create a company that creates opportunities.

Opportunities for businesses to discover better products. Opportunities for manufacturers to reach new markets. Opportunities for our team to grow. Opportunities for new partnerships to develop. And opportunities for SAI Overseas to become a trusted name in international sourcing, manufacturing and trade.

We want our clients to know that when they work with us, they are not simply placing an order with a trading company. They are working with a team that understands the market, understands manufacturing and understands the importance of getting things right.

CHAPTER 11

And Personally…

When I look back at where this journey began, I often think about that 16-year-old boy in Kathmandu who simply wanted to understand what was happening beyond the borders of Nepal.

He could not have known where that curiosity would eventually lead — the countries he would visit, the manufacturers he would meet, the relationships he would build, the lessons he would learn or the vision that would eventually emerge.

But perhaps that is the beauty of a journey. You don't need to know the entire road when you take the first step. You only need the courage to explore.

And then you learn. You adapt. You grow. You meet people. You gain experience. And that experience becomes the foundation for the next chapter.

There Is Still a Long Way to Go

Today, I am grateful for every person who has been part of this journey — our clients, manufacturers, suppliers, partners, friends, colleagues and, most importantly, our team.

Every relationship has contributed something. Every market has taught us something. Every order has taught us something. Every experience has brought us here.

And we are still learning. We are still expanding. We are still building. We are still dreaming bigger.

Because the goal was never simply to build a business. The goal is to build something that lasts.

Something that can grow across generations. Something that can create opportunities across borders. Something that began in Kathmandu but can reach the world. And something that remains grounded in the values that started the journey: Trust. Experience. Relationships. Integrity. Curiosity. And the courage to think bigger.

My Philosophy

I believe every experience has something to teach us. And perhaps that is the greatest lesson of my journey so far: Don't be afraid of the experience. Learn from it. Build from it. Grow from it.

Because the journey never really ends. It simply becomes the experience that prepares you for the next chapter.

From Kathmandu to the World.

This is the journey of SAI Overseas.

And for me, personally, this is only the beginning.
